This self-guide booklet discusses some of the major exhibits at the Railway Museum in Bulawayo. Referring to numbers on the exhibits, one can read up on some aspects of the item in question – where it was manufactured, how and where it was used and other historical details. It provides a simplified historical discussion of the evolution of the various steam, diesel and electrical locomotives that have been used on the Rhodesia Railways network through time. Discussion also covers several specific items held by the museum such as Cecil John Rhodes’ private rail coach, the Victoria Falls Trolley system; and the historical Shamva Station.
